Judith M.(Scherden) Williams

Judith M. Williams, 79, Tyrone, passed away Thursday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Ralph J. and Fern M. (Carles) Scherden.
On June 27, 1964, she married Jerry Williams at Whenwood United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Judy is survived by a sister, Betty Dinges of Tyrone; three brothers: Ralph J. Scherden Jr. of Dysart, William J. Scherden (Donna) of Altoona and Brent A. Scherden (Deb) of Altoona; a niece, Desirea Berkheimer (James) and her children, Lucas and Andrew; and two nephews: Scott R. Dinges (Melissa) and children, Emily and Paige; and Cheyney W. Dinges (Stephanie) and children, Colton and Jonathan.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet D. Rummel.
Judy was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1963 graduate of the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse. Judy enjoyed crafts and traveling to different parts of the country with her husband.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
