Kay Alyce (Seidel) Lint

April 3, 1942 – Oct. 29, 2015     

Kay Alyce (Seidel) Lint, 73, Graystone Manor at Bellmeade, passed away Thursday evening at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William J. and Catherine M. (Maricq) Seidel. She married Irvin E. Lint on July 13, 1968, in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1997.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Ann (Lint) Claar and fiance, Edward Long, of Duncansville; three grandchildren: Amanda Yingling (Brian) of Altoona, Katelyn Brown of Duncansville and Laura Claar of Duncansville; a great-granddaughter, Camillia Yingling of Altoona; two brothers: David W. Seidel (Virginia) and Timothy R. Seidel (Sonya), both of Altoona; a sister, Christine B. Behe (David) of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Emma Miller of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kay was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as a private duty LPN and had previously worked as a radiology technician at Altoona Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Altoona. She was a past member of Licensed Practical Nurses Association of Pennsylvania and also served as chairwoman of the duty registry.

Kay was an avid painter and enjoyed boating and spending time with her granddaughters and great-granddaughter.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, in Stevens Memorial Chapel, officiated by Monsignor Timothy P. Stein. Committal will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Altoona.

The class of 1960 has lost another classmate.  Kay was recently in touch with the reunion commitee and wanted so much to come to the reunion.  Because of health reasons she was not able to attend.  Many of the committee sent her cards and she was most appreciative of them.  Rest In peace Kay.
