Thomas Arthur Nevel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Arthur Nevel of Normandy, Tennessee, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his father James Arthur; his wife Ruth Crockett Nevel; and his brother Jake Nevel. He is survived by : his close friend Linda Jernigan; his daughters, Kim Heaven of Normandy and Gena Hall of Estill Springs; his siblings, Paul Nevel (Betty) and Myra Sue Simmers of Altoona, Pennsylvania; his granddaughters, Haley Alexander (Josh) and Megan Heaven; and his great grandchildren, Greyson Alexander, Denver Alexander and Fischer Alexander.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 22nd 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Feldhaus Memorial Chapel (2022 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23rd 2023 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Mr. Nevel would be honored with memorials made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the charity of your choice.

I receivied a message from Bob Taylor today, telling me that Tom had died. Tom was a wonderful and caring man. At our 57th reumion he came with a lady he was getting close to. She was a pretty southern belle amd they were so beautiful together. He had lost his wife several years before, so she was a shining light in his life. I have spoken with him several times since then and he was always so polite and kind. I am so sorry to add his obituary. RIP Tom
