A beautiful woman.  I enjoyed spending time with Olga at a picnic with some friends the last couple of years.

She will be missed

Not just a classmate from AHS, Olga was a childhood schoolmate from first and second grades at Emerson, latter elementary grades at Lincoln, and, of course, Roosevelt Junior HIgh.  Warm, witty, and wise, she was a spirited teacher, dedicated community member, and beloved friend.  Her passing is painful to those who knew and loved her.

After many years of random contact, I had the good fortune and joy of speaking with Olga on several occasions the past couple of years. She was an earthy, wise woman whose perspective on life and death was inspiring. We had very different paths in our lives yet maintained a connection begun many years ago when we used to walk home from high school together. Long walks with lots of laughs and fun. It seems that is where we formed so many of our insights and opinions about what we valued in life. On another occasion when I was visiting Altoona and my mother, we got high on paint fumes painting her dining room and "laughed ourselves silly". She was a constant friend and visited my mother who lived alone. My Mom adored Olga and was thrilled that she came. I love her dearly still and miss her.

So sad to hear of Olga's passing. I met her at Roosevelt as we had a couple clases together. Sending thoughts and prayers to her family and it was a pleasure knowing her.
