Stephen John Macionsky Jr., 73, passed away Wednesday at Gentiva Hospice, Palm Desert, Calif.
He was born in Altoona, son of Stephen and Anne (Berridge) Macionsky. On Oct. 26, 1963, he married Donna Santa Croce at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Donna of Indio, Calif.; three sons: Steve (Jack) Macionsky III of Los Angeles, Calif., Brian (Susan) Macionsky of Coral Springs, Fla., and Travis Macionsky of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren: Mia Macionsky of Toledo, Ohio, and Hunter Macionsky and Morgan Macionsky, both of Coral Springs, Fla.; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Anne Macionsky of Hollidaysburg; four siblings: Anna (Gary) Donaldson of Scotch Valley, and Kay Dangel, Francis (Terry) Lingenfelter and Gregory (Karen) Macionsky, all of Hollidaysburg; a special sister-in-law, Linda Grove of Altoona; and a special nephew, Jason Grove of Altoona, along with three other nephews and five nieces.
Steve fell in love with the Palm Springs, Calif., area and moved there in 2013. He enjoyed spending time in the swimming pool, driving through the neighborhood in his golf cart and going to the movies. He loved sports, especially Penn State football. Above all, he cherished spending time with his wife and family.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, and a celebration of life service will be held today, Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, in Indio, Calif.
