Phyllis J. Hight, 76, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Kenneth and L. Ruth (Reed) Hufford. On May 27, 1967, she married Lawrence “Larry” Hight in Altoona, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2016.
Surviving are a son, Lynn Hight of Altoona; a daughter, Linda J. Cook of Salisbury, Md.; and two grandchildren: Jacob Michael Cook and McKenna Cook.
Phyllis was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a licensed practical nurse from Bon Secours Hospital after 30 years of service.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Phyllis was a member of the LPN Association and enjoyed yardwork and gardening.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
The family requests that memorial donations in memory of Phyllis be made to Faith Baptist Church, 315 40th St., Altoona, PA 16602.

Very sorry to hear about Phyliss. Can't remember the last time we saw each other. I always enjoyed her company and we had lots of good laughs together.
