Hi Donna,

You are looking great. My apologies for being so late with birthday wishes. We had family in from Chicago so left email unread for quite awhile. I hope the occasion was merry and that you totally went off any kind of diet to indulge to your heart's content.

I am saddened to hear of John's passing. I have known John since grade school. His family moved across the street from us when i when I was in college so I was able to maintain some contact with him after high school. His was a diligent philanthropist and gave many hours to his projects and will clearly be missed by all who knew him and all who benefited from his hard work.

Hi George. My apologies for this tardy response to your email. Because the weather has stayed so unusually warm, the gardening season was lengthened, thus requiring more maintenance and processing of the food than one usually has to provide this time of year. I would enjoy reading whatever you want to send of your book. Cindy

Hi Kay
Thanks for the birthday greetings. I enjoyed the day by doing my fun things. We were in Arizona back in early May when we went to visit an aunt living in Wickenburg. We usually go by way of I-40 and I-17 but decided to return home by taking the route in northern Phoenix that goes up through Payson and on to Show Low, then to Socorro, New Mexico. It was a beautiful drive but took much longer than than the interstate route. I sure hope to get to the next reunion. Cindy

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the birthday greetings. I had a fun day. Maybe if we have that chance to sing the "measles" song we can also do "The Night Before Christmas". I tested my brain back during the holidays and found I still recall most of that piece. At our age we better work at it soon before mental pause really sets in.
